Glentress- Arrival

So here for today and all day mon to learn some basic mountain biking. Arrived here around 11am and set off up to the buzzard car park to do the green route and then the skills corner lol. There is 9 year olds with more self confidence than me. Lol

Then done blue route.

Staying in 1 of the wigwams attached to the Glentress centre. - the sun is shinning and beer in the fridge. Life does not get better than this.

Checked in at lodge. Then going back oot !

Its not an uncommon fact that the weather recently has been very poor, a mixture of rain, hail, snow, gale force winds and everything else being chucked at my part of the world. .. so it was a very pleasant change to wake to nice sunny weather - and I thought Im grabbing my bike and going a run for what seems like the first time in weeks. - on a Day Off. Done the usual route home-Kilmarnock, join the cycle path to Irvine, then down to Ayr via Troon. Then back up the B743 to Mauchline. 44 Miles and a very good cycle.  Planning more on Sat, Hopefully a 60 Miler. - Weather looks ok..
