Ae Forest - 7 Stanes - 25th June 2013

On Tuesday Myself and Neil did the 3rd of the 7 Stanes at Ae Forest. We arrived at around Noon and grabbed a quick coffee, then got the bikes read and headed out.

Finishing at around 5pm, lets just say I was knackered. - We covered more than 29 miles, mostly up bloody hill lol  Went over the handlebars and fell sideways but nothing more than a bruised ego. lol. Even McMillian Fell ...

A fantastic day out, but I was sore as hell on Wednesday !

Its not an uncommon fact that the weather recently has been very poor, a mixture of rain, hail, snow, gale force winds and everything else being chucked at my part of the world. .. so it was a very pleasant change to wake to nice sunny weather - and I thought Im grabbing my bike and going a run for what seems like the first time in weeks. - on a Day Off. Done the usual route home-Kilmarnock, join the cycle path to Irvine, then down to Ayr via Troon. Then back up the B743 to Mauchline. 44 Miles and a very good cycle.  Planning more on Sat, Hopefully a 60 Miler. - Weather looks ok..
