Weekend Antics...
Have a guess what I'm going to blog about.... Yes more cycling.
Yesterday we went to Glentrool to do our 2nd of the 7 Stanes. Picked Neil up at Ayr railway station just before 9am and headed down.. Got there just after 1030am....
1. Visitor Centre shut until further notice.
2. 2 cars in Car Park.
We did the blue route, only 7 miles, last few miles were nice but after Glentress last week we both agreed we were left rather at an Anti Climax... - After we went a dauner.... me leading. Ended up in Newton Stewart. By time we got back to Glentrool we did 27 miles.
After that we went to Ayr for a few beers and an early night for me... -
Sunday I was up bright eyed and bushy tailed. Headed to Ayr, not knowing where to go on old faithful. Headed up the coast towards Irvine, and thought fuck it, Im going to Paisley, via the cycle path for Lochwinnoch. It was a nice sunny day, and its quite a nice run. - After getting to Paisley I was feeling the heat, out via Barrhead, and back to the A77 for the run to Kilmarnock, then the cycle path to Irvine, then back to Ayr. - 82 Miles, my best local run to date, and longest run since the Scotland cycle... Well needed.
Mora will be hard, cycling to work I mean... Shift 13 on the trot., the stubborn bastard will not give up. Im in M-F, and 5 on the trot will be a test....
Todays Route and a bit of Burn -
