What happened to the Summer?

What happened to the Great Summer we were going to have?- Thats the 2nd year in a row where quite frankly the Summer has been pants...

Think as a society we have created a vision or expectation that Scotland or 'Up North' can have great summers. The reality is very much different...

Its not an uncommon fact that the weather recently has been very poor, a mixture of rain, hail, snow, gale force winds and everything else being chucked at my part of the world. .. so it was a very pleasant change to wake to nice sunny weather - and I thought Im grabbing my bike and going a run for what seems like the first time in weeks. - on a Day Off. Done the usual route home-Kilmarnock, join the cycle path to Irvine, then down to Ayr via Troon. Then back up the B743 to Mauchline. 44 Miles and a very good cycle.  Planning more on Sat, Hopefully a 60 Miler. - Weather looks ok..
