Early Morning

Went to bed early and woke up before 4am. Could not get back to sleep. Getting daylight. Place very calming. Silence fills the air.

Looking out back window, I can see birds attempting to get food in the grass.

Kettles on. Coffee. TV. On. Looks like that's me for the day.

Its not an uncommon fact that the weather recently has been very poor, a mixture of rain, hail, snow, gale force winds and everything else being chucked at my part of the world. .. so it was a very pleasant change to wake to nice sunny weather - and I thought Im grabbing my bike and going a run for what seems like the first time in weeks. - on a Day Off. Done the usual route home-Kilmarnock, join the cycle path to Irvine, then down to Ayr via Troon. Then back up the B743 to Mauchline. 44 Miles and a very good cycle.  Planning more on Sat, Hopefully a 60 Miler. - Weather looks ok..
