Bike Run - 20/8/2012

Well todays my day aff so like thurs I dropped the kids off at school and as the sun was partly out quick change upon return to the house and grabbed the bike and cycled out the street- no plan of where I was going. 


Headed towards Kilmarnock then thought I could head down to Irvine and join the Ayrshire Costal cycle path towards Troon etc and head down towards Ayr…. Then back home...


Great wee run.

Its not an uncommon fact that the weather recently has been very poor, a mixture of rain, hail, snow, gale force winds and everything else being chucked at my part of the world. .. so it was a very pleasant change to wake to nice sunny weather - and I thought Im grabbing my bike and going a run for what seems like the first time in weeks. - on a Day Off. Done the usual route home-Kilmarnock, join the cycle path to Irvine, then down to Ayr via Troon. Then back up the B743 to Mauchline. 44 Miles and a very good cycle.  Planning more on Sat, Hopefully a 60 Miler. - Weather looks ok..
