Halfords Cancer Research UK Cycle 27.6.12 - Ayr/Hamilton Leg

Doing this run the mora for my work - Halfords.

My run is home to Ayr. Meet fellow cyclers. Then via Galston to A77 old route then up by Windlee Wind Farm to Eaglesham to EK. then onto our Hamilton Store.

Estimate is easily +50 miles.

Thanks to my dad who is picking me up at the end. Weather tonight's been shit. I'm hoping for a miracle in the weather stakes the mora.

Its not an uncommon fact that the weather recently has been very poor, a mixture of rain, hail, snow, gale force winds and everything else being chucked at my part of the world. .. so it was a very pleasant change to wake to nice sunny weather - and I thought Im grabbing my bike and going a run for what seems like the first time in weeks. - on a Day Off. Done the usual route home-Kilmarnock, join the cycle path to Irvine, then down to Ayr via Troon. Then back up the B743 to Mauchline. 44 Miles and a very good cycle.  Planning more on Sat, Hopefully a 60 Miler. - Weather looks ok..
