Trip to London - Day 1. Thursday 5th April 2012
So our trip finally arrived and it started very early one Thursday morning. A 330am trip to Glasgow central for the virgin 0428 train to London Euston
.
Train was on time and the journey was quite painless. Though we did not really sleep. Kids were entertained with books and the iPad lol..
We decided to go straight to Greenwich where we were staying and after navigating our way around the underground we were booked in by 1130am. Quick freshen up and we headed into the city to explore..
We had booked a 3 day London pass as a family of 4 and if you check the website your can see these things ain't cheap but do it right most attractions can work out cheap.
First visit was the London Bridge experience. And London Tombs. There was a hell of a queue for this so I was hoping it would be good. And it certainly was. Real life actors brought it all alive, and the tombs has live actors as well. Absolutely brilliant.
After lunch we went to Tower Bridge and walked along the walkways and saw so good views of the local area. Then we done the usual Big Ben and Downing Street etc.
We walked down to Buckingham Palace through St James Park. Some photos then we walked up Regents Street to look for somewhere for dinner. This happened to be Planet Hollywood. - Great meal was had.
Then it was home. All shattered - a great first fully packed day. !
