21.12.11- Update
Been a busy few days on run up to Christmas, both on the home front and at work. After a busy weekend at work I enjoyed a night out with most of the Irvine team at the race course in Ayr. We went last year and it was a laugh.
I stayed at the travel lodge. Booked back in September, was only 15 quid. This is why I like booking them often as they are very competitive.
Ayr is only 8 miles from my home but 28 quid or so for a taxi, so it made sense. Lol.
We had a good night. Then left and went into Ayr to McArthurs. Then into Madesions. I will admit. I over indulged a bit. Shots mainly. Not a good example as the Boss to set. I buggered off at 1am. And this is when things went wrong. Very wrong.
This is what I vaguely remember. -:
Walking away to Gribbons and getting a taxi. Getting out near Asda/ toward Bannatynes. And walking up towards Subway.
Some how (unknown) I've fallen. Ice. I assume. Or tripped over a pavement. Fell cracked back of my head. Blood - a fair bit. Right hands covered. I've got to my the travel lodge. Got to my room and fell asleep on the bed. Clothed. That's it.
Before falling asleep I phone various people at 2.14am. In state of distress. Speak to MA. Then I switch my phone off. 'shakes head as I write this ..'
Monday. - awake at 845am and can't (at that moment remember a thing ..). As I awake I look at my right hand that covered in dry blood. I then get up to witness a lot of blood over the pillows and top part of bed sheets.
I check back of my head and it's very sore. Get up. Panic a bit and shower to clean me up. Then try and establish what happened.
Make some communication with guys from last night. To Establish timings etc.
Later that day I go to Ayr A&E to get checked out and after a long wait they clean me up and give me all clear.
Back home I reflect on what could of happened for the 1 to many. Knocked out. In freezing temp. This is not a good thought.
I'm writing this to share an experience. That I'll be honest I've not had very often. Yes like most folk I like to enjoy myself - but that shoke me a bit.
So moral of story. Watch what you do went out celebrating or enjoying a good time. Take it easy. Stop and think.
Anyway. Lecture over. 2 days later my heads on mend. Wounds scabbing. - and I've started picking at it so must be better. Lol.
Only 3 days till Christmas. I'm off Thursday so visit some relatives and drop off pressies then food shop.
Hope your all ready like me- not ! Lol.
