Heading to the Westen Isles for a 2 Wheeler curtain on 2013 !

On Monday 11th Myself and Neil leave Oban and head for Barra on the Western Isles. Over the next couple of Day's we cycle to Stornaway, before getting Ferry to Ullapool. Purchasing a very reasonable Hop Scotch No8 on the Day for 35 Quid will allow us to do this.
Ferry from Stornaway is at 7am on the Thursday before a 40 mile cycle south of Ullapool to the train. Just to figure out how to get back to Oban to collect car. Home Thursday night! Acc to be sorted. Ferry leaves Oban at 1340 on the Monday. What a better way to spend a Birthday ! lol Detail in the planning.... More Follows... An Epic curtain to 2013

Its not an uncommon fact that the weather recently has been very poor, a mixture of rain, hail, snow, gale force winds and everything else being chucked at my part of the world. .. so it was a very pleasant change to wake to nice sunny weather - and I thought Im grabbing my bike and going a run for what seems like the first time in weeks. - on a Day Off. Done the usual route home-Kilmarnock, join the cycle path to Irvine, then down to Ayr via Troon. Then back up the B743 to Mauchline. 44 Miles and a very good cycle.  Planning more on Sat, Hopefully a 60 Miler. - Weather looks ok..
