Evening All- Post Trip Blog.. (written sun 27/1/13) Sitting here after dinner having my 1 x4 quid pint at Auchrannie. lol. kids playing pool, Ill go and beat them in 1 min. Arrived with car sat morning to take ownership of  1 of the lodges for a week, though only here at the moment for 3 days. I got the earlier ferry over on the sat morning after a fantastic burns supper at Dumfries house the night before. After a couple of whiskys, I had a slight fuzzy head in the morning, but that was gone by the time we were on the ferry. A couple of friends were tagging along with Maryann and the kids on the next ferry. - 9 of us in a place designed for 6.lol.. - 5 kids ranging from 11yrs to 10 months. - This was always part of the fun. Afternoon People, today Thursday 24th January 2013- I am sure alot of you know (I bang on about it enough) that I am proud to be Scottish , and live in the village that Robert Burns spent part of his life- Mauchline. This Fri night is Burns Night, were we Scots and people around the world celebrate the birth of the Baird with a nicht of Haggis, Whiskey, poems and celebrate a great life. How do you celebrate it if you do ? Haggis, Neeps and Tatties are always a firm favourite in this house. This Burns night will be at Dumfries House in Ayrshire, celebrating the 90th Anniversary of the Mauchline Burns Club. - Wifes are even invited and this will be a first for Maryann... - So should be a good nicht. so.. Heading to Liverpool for a rare weekend break in the early part of the month. A city we have never been to so looking forward to it very much. Explore the city highlghts, shame both the main teams are playing away from home that weekend... Mucho looking forward to it.

Well 3 weeks through the worst month of the year... We are nearly there, hang in there. dont give up... Who am I kidding - 6 weeks since I last got paid, its been a very long month. there is 1 more hill to climb, called a week long, hang in there... LOL. Well I am on holiday this week, a wee bit of decorating has been the plan this week. Kitchen done on Sunday, Dining Room on Mon, and the Living Room on tues. The usual argument with MA over a feature wall (She won, decorator is coming today) has been my achievement this week so far. So just need to hunt for a new 3 piece suite. that will be fun..... (Cant tell I hate this kind of shopping eh ?) Anyway towards the end of this week, we have the Mauchline Burns Supper at Dumfries house then a weekend on Arran to look forward. My only regret this week is the white stuff on the ground that is stopping me going out on my bike. Can feel the belly getting bigger. LOL Anyway, back to Jan, 75% there done, its nearly over !

Well Happy New year to you all. Hope you had a great new year. Here we went for a meal and decided to stay local as we had won tickets to a party in our local pub. We went down around 9pm and enjoyed an absolutely fantastic evening. Some great company, good food and music, right on our door step. Defo do the same next year. Rolled in at stupid o'clock and as usual over done the eating and drinking. But it's new year right ? Lol. New Year's Day was a bit of a write off. Felt like shit even over the steak pie dinner at 5pm with the inlaws. An early night was planned. Woke up this morning. Jan 2nd - Dettox day. Thought. 30 mile cycle. Start as I mean to go on. Looked out the window and it was pissing of rain. - but thought. Fuck it. I AM GOING OUT. So I dawned the waterproof trousers and top and grabbed the bike and done 33 miles. 1st run of many this year. Even if I got wet. Happy new year team. Ax
