Take That–Hampden 23/6/2011

On wed night I was having a nosey around Gumtree and noticed several postings for Take That tickets. Now Im not a fan. Lets clarify that to begin with, but I knew Maryann wanted to go and I had tried to get them last year when they went on sale.

I managed to get a pair at less than face value for the Thursday night gig. Purchased from a kind seller in Elderslie. So it was a nice surprise for Maryann.

They were being supported by the pet Shop boys so we wanted to get up their sharp. We parked in Shawlands and walked the 1 mile to Hampden. Which in hindsight was easier than parking close by.

I admit I enjoyed it.. There!. LOL Was a good concert. Fantastic stage.

Its not an uncommon fact that the weather recently has been very poor, a mixture of rain, hail, snow, gale force winds and everything else being chucked at my part of the world. .. so it was a very pleasant change to wake to nice sunny weather - and I thought Im grabbing my bike and going a run for what seems like the first time in weeks. - on a Day Off. Done the usual route home-Kilmarnock, join the cycle path to Irvine, then down to Ayr via Troon. Then back up the B743 to Mauchline. 44 Miles and a very good cycle.  Planning more on Sat, Hopefully a 60 Miler. - Weather looks ok..
