Carrick Hill Run 22/1/15

Yesterday I took car down to Auchincruive and decided to christen the new 29er. Took cycle path down into Ayr then nipped out via Alloway and our past Craig Tara, before climbing right up to the masts. 

Great wee cycle up then took couple photos then decided to head down other side and loop Darymple then back to Ayr and start.

Its not an uncommon fact that the weather recently has been very poor, a mixture of rain, hail, snow, gale force winds and everything else being chucked at my part of the world. .. so it was a very pleasant change to wake to nice sunny weather - and I thought Im grabbing my bike and going a run for what seems like the first time in weeks. - on a Day Off. Done the usual route home-Kilmarnock, join the cycle path to Irvine, then down to Ayr via Troon. Then back up the B743 to Mauchline. 44 Miles and a very good cycle.  Planning more on Sat, Hopefully a 60 Miler. - Weather looks ok..
