Scotland Border Coast to Coast Cycle - Sat 1/6/13

Sadly as Neil cant get the hols our trip to the western isles on the 2 wheeler is on hold for the moment. With a weekend off and a few days holiday, still have the ability to do a different run, as these new cycles are becoming harder to plan...

We did a Scotland coast to coast last year in October from Ayr to Musselburgh, so thought why not do a coast to coast along the border... - Well we have cycled top to bottom so now its time to cross it at the border.... and see the sea on both sides of this great land.

So Sat 1st June, just south of Annan to Berwick upon Tweed is sorted.

Its not an uncommon fact that the weather recently has been very poor, a mixture of rain, hail, snow, gale force winds and everything else being chucked at my part of the world. .. so it was a very pleasant change to wake to nice sunny weather - and I thought Im grabbing my bike and going a run for what seems like the first time in weeks. - on a Day Off. Done the usual route home-Kilmarnock, join the cycle path to Irvine, then down to Ayr via Troon. Then back up the B743 to Mauchline. 44 Miles and a very good cycle.  Planning more on Sat, Hopefully a 60 Miler. - Weather looks ok..
