Ayrshire Costal run - South : 19/9/12

Image
Well today another bike run. 50 miles today. As I type feeling the burn. Headed from Ayr to Alloway then via old costal road down by Craig Tara to link up with Culzean Castle Road. Then onto Maidens and Turnberry. Some excellent views of Ailsa Craig. Then onto Girvan. - lunch at the harbour then the 22 miles back to Ayr. Great day. Apart from 1 mental shower. A dry day.

Cassie - Update

Image
Well that's now approaching 4 weeks since we got Cassie, our new wee addition to our family. Now 12 weeks old. She had settled in very quickly and is very good natured. Had her jags from the vets and has settled into a routine. Likes nicking our socks and shoes and the kids have been very good with her. I swear she has doubled in size in those first 4 weeks. We all fight to see whose turn it is to take her a walk lol.

Glasgow- Tarbet, Loch Lomond Cycle and Back- 75 Mile Run

Image
On Monday this week, myself and Neil decided to cycle from Lock 27 in Anniesland to Balloch and onwards up to Tarbet near the top end of the west side of Loch Lomond, and back. We set off around 10am and initially set of in the wrong direction. This was my fault lol, soon we were corrected and heading down through Clydebank, Dumbarton and up through Erskine. The route following the canal path and then onwards via NCP route 7 towards Balloch. You then join the Loch Lomond Cycle path and head up the west side. A great run, despite me coming off my bike, damaging the rear mech and mudguards, and a bruised ego lol. Got back to Lock 27 around 530pm and a well deserved beer. 75 miles done and a new daily personal record. - And the rain stayed away!!
